Biography

Michelle earned a dual degree in Sociology and Criminology from Northern Illinois University. While attending Chicago-Kent College of Law, Michelle gained hands-on experience participating in many legal matters including collecting child support arrearages with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, prosecuting gang crimes, and handling residential landlord-tenant cases through Chicago-Kent’s Advice Desk Program. After graduating in 2002, Michelle began her legal career as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County where she handled complicated child support enforcement matters as well as multifaceted narcotics cases. Michelle later used her considerable courtroom skills to build a successful solo practice focused on family law including, divorce, paternity matters, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, domestic violence, and guardianship. Michelle has been recognized as an Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers.
